Pacific Life, a provider of life insurance and retirement solutions, has appointed Bin Mu as Chief Data Officer. He joins Pacific Life after more than four years at Adobe, where he most recently served as Chief Data Officer.

Mu led Adobe’s enterprise AI-first data strategy, overseeing modernization of infrastructure, data products, and AI tools, while establishing governance and ethical AI standards and building an enterprise-wide AI-ready data hub. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Enterprise Data & Analytics, leading a global organization across data management, engineering, AI, machine learning, analytics, and governance.

Before Adobe, Mu held senior data and analytics leadership roles at Brighthouse Financial, MetLife, and Cigna Healthcare. Reflecting on his transition, he wrote on LinkedIn, “The past 4.5 years at Adobe were an incredible ride, thank you Adobe team, you are amazing. I’m carrying those experiences forward as I help lead Pacific Life into the AI era. Looking forward to the innovation and partnerships ahead!”
