(US and Canada) Full-service financial institution Northwest Bank has recently hired Craig Dornon as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Dornon has more than 25 years of hands-on leadership experience with enterprise risk and compliance programs in the financial, retail, and insurance sectors.

As CISO, Dornon will oversee Northwest’s information security program, including cybersecurity, data protection, cloud and application security, IT risk assessment, identity and access management, vendor risk, and data availability risks.

“Providing the highest levels of security and protection of our customers’ information, data and privacy is our priority,” said Scott Watson, Chief Information Officer, Northwest Bank. “With an extensive background in all aspects of information security, including a proven track record of leading teams in both first and second line of defense functions, Craig is the ideal person for this critically important role.”

Dornon has held a series of increasingly responsible information security positions. Prior to joining Northwest, he served as Vice President and Chief Operational Risk Officer at Bread Financial. He has earned numerous technical and training certifications and education credentials.
