(US and Canada) The National Health Service (NHS) England has appointed Ming Tang as Interim Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO). She will take on this role alongside her current position as Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO).
Tang has been with the NHS since 2009, holding senior leadership roles in commissioning support services and overseeing major transformation programs, including the Federated Data Platform (FDP). She has also co-chaired a working group focused on the NHS’ 10-year health plan in collaboration with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
In her interim role, Tang will lead digital and data initiatives, ensuring stability and continuity as NHS England moves forward with its transformation strategy. The recruitment process for a permanent CDIO is currently underway.
