Najat Khan, Ph.D., Johnson & Johnson Chief Data Science Officer and Global Head of Strategy, Portfolio, and Operations for Janssen R&D, Joins CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board

(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Najat Khan, Ph.D. to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Khan holds dual roles as Chief Data Science Officer and Senior Vice President/Global Head of Strategy and Operations for R&D at the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson.

This unique combination of leadership positions places Khan at the helm of overseeing the strategy, pipeline optimization, portfolio management, and investments, with a focus on seamlessly integrating data science and digital health throughout the pharmaceutical pipeline to foster groundbreaking innovations benefiting patients.

Khan possesses a diverse skill set and achievements spanning three key domains: biological and medical science, computational and data science (AI/Machine Learning), and business leadership, strategy, and operations within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

Her exceptional contributions garnered her recognition, and she earned a spot on Endpoints News' list of top 20 leaders under 40 in biopharma and biotech in 2022. Before joining Janssen, she held the position of Partner at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Khan holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and has served as a fellow at the Penn Center for Innovation (PCI), where her focus was on translating various medical and tech innovations from Penn into new products and businesses. She completed her B.A. in Computational Chemistry with a minor in Economics at Colgate University.
