Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) has welcomed Prasad Uddaraju as Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer, marking the creation of the organization’s first dedicated leadership role overseeing data and artificial intelligence.
Uddaraju joins MUFG with more than two decades of experience in data, analytics, technology, and governance across the financial services industry. Prior to joining the company, he served as Managing Director, Data & Analytics at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he led initiatives focused on modernizing data environments, cloud-based platforms, and AI-enabled data capabilities.
Before JPMorgan Chase, Uddaraju was Senior Vice President and Chief Data Officer at First Republic Bank, where he established enterprise data governance capabilities and supported the modernization of the bank’s data platforms. Following First Republic’s acquisition, he also contributed to the integration of the bank’s data and technology platforms into JPMorgan Chase.
