(US and Canada) Mt. Logan Capital Management (MLCM), the third-party capital management platform of Everest Group, has appointed Sun Siang Liew as Chief Analytics Officer. In this role, Liew will lead the company’s portfolio management and actuarial analytics functions, reporting to Chief Executive Officer John Modin.

“I am pleased to welcome Sun to MLCM, who brings a proven track record in portfolio management, analytics, and optimization to our ILS team,” says Modin. “Sun is well-versed in reinsurance affiliated manager offerings, and I look forward to working with him as we enhance our tailored strategies and develop products to meet investors’ objectives and drive MLCM’s continued growth.”

Before joining MLCM, Liew was Senior Vice President of Portfolio Analytics at RenaissanceRe, following its acquisition of Validus Re. At Validus, he was part of the management team for AlphaCat Managers, its third-party capital affiliate, where he led portfolio analytics and played a pivotal role in investor portfolio construction and product development.
