Monster Energy has named Michael Colella Head of AI – Innovation. Colella shared the news in a LinkedIn post. He most recently served as Senior Director & AI Builder, Global Data Strategy & Analytics at AXS, where he led analytics engineering, business intelligence, data instrumentation, and web analytics.

In his new role, Colella leads enterprise AI strategy and innovation at Monster Energy, setting the company’s long-term AI vision and partnering with executive leadership to apply AI across sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, operations, and HR.

With a background spanning AI, data science, and analytics, Colella has held leadership roles in technology and data across organizations including AXS, Upshop, dunnhumby and The Kraft Heinz Company.
