(US and Canada) The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) has appointed Aaron Call as its Chief Information Security Officer. Call will oversee computer security functions, including information network protection, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. The MAC operates Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) along with six general aviation airports in the Twin Cities area.
Call has 17 years of experience in managing and developing secure computing environments across both private and public sectors. Before joining the MAC, he served as Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at Old Republic Title in Minneapolis and as chief infrastructure and security officer at WPS Health Solutions in Madison, Wisconsin. From 2014 to 2019, he worked for the State of Minnesota, where he later served as the state’s chief information security officer. Throughout his career, Call has been involved in developing secure enterprise systems, implementing risk management strategies, and exploring new technologies to enhance operations.
“Safeguarding airport systems is essential to maintaining the trust of our millions of travelers and the many tenants and partners operating across our system,” said MAC Chief Information Officer Eduardo Valencia. “Aaron Call brings a history of high-level leadership, bringing together people and technology to protect data resources and advance information technology strategies.”
Call holds a doctorate in law and a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from Southern Illinois University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and holds the Certified Ethical Hacker credential from the International Council of E-Commerce (EC-Council), along with Project+ and Security+ certifications from CompTIA. Additionally, he serves on the CompTIA Subject Matter Expert Technical Advisory Council and is the board chair for the Germanic American Institute.
