McLane Company Appoints Murat Genc as Chief Information and Digital Officer

(US and Canada) McLane Company, Inc., a wholly owned unit of Berkshire Hathaway and one of the largest supply chain services leaders in the U.S., has appointed Murat Genc as President, Chief Information and Digital Officer. Genc, who previously served as the company’s Chief Technology Officer, takes on this expanded leadership role with a continued focus on advancing McLane’s digital and technology strategy.

Bringing over two decades of experience in digital transformation, technology platforms, and innovation, Genc has held leadership positions at Procter & Gamble, Whirlpool, and various technology companies. His expertise spans scaling digital capabilities, driving data and AI strategies, and leading IT and engineering teams globally across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the Middle East & Africa.

McLane plays a key role in the distribution of consumer goods, food, and restaurant products across the U.S. In his LinkedIn post, Genc expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, “Looking forward to taking it to the next level with technology, data, AI and exceptional IT&D talent and digitizing supply chain and delivering exceptional customer experiences.”
