As HHS’s Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, he developed transparency and risk management frameworks for AI technologies, overseeing AI adoption across all HHS divisions and vetting applications used by over 900 certified EHR developers.
Tripathi’s career spans leadership roles in both government and the private sector, including work as a senior operations research analyst in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, a U.S. Presidential Management Fellow with the U.S. Air Force, and a manager at the Boston Consulting Group. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University, and an AB in political science from Vassar College.
