Amit Prasad, Logistics Plus Chief AI Officer
Logistics Plus, a global supply chain solutions business spanning more than 55 countries and nearly $1 billion in annual revenue, has named Amit Prasad Chief AI Officer. In his role, Prasad oversees enterprise AI strategy, digital transformation, and supply chain services across the company’s operations in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Bringing two decades of experience building data science and supply chain capabilities for global logistics organizations, Prasad joins Logistics Plus from Capgemini, where he led the Intelligent Supply Chain and AI practice and advised Fortune 500 clients in the automotive, energy, manufacturing, and retail sectors on enterprise AI transformation. His previous experience includes serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Data Science Officer at Transportation Insight and Nolan Transportation Group.
Earlier in his career, Prasad spent nearly a decade at Coyote Logistics, a UPS company, as Vice President of Supply Chain and Data Science. During his tenure, he built the organization’s first production machine-learning capabilities for pricing and route optimization. He has also published research and regularly speaks at industry conferences, including Manifest, INFORMS, and the FTR Transportation Conference.
Prasad holds a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management from MIT and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Guwahati, India.
Reflecting on his new role in a LinkedIn post, Prasad shared, “Getting to know the leadership team and the LP culture over recent months, I’ve been struck by the combination of that customer-first heritage with a genuine ambition to build the next chapter of AI-driven logistics at global scale.” He added, “Looking forward to partnering with the leadership team, our customers, and the LP family to build AI capabilities that deliver real value across pricing, operations, forecasting, and customer experience.”
