Liberty Mutual Insurance Appoints Yorck Einhaus as Chief Data Officer — Global Risk Solutions

(US and Canada) Liberty Mutual Insurance has recently appointed Yorck Einhaus as Chief Data Officer - Global Risk Solutions. Einhaus is known for his strategic thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, innovative mindset, and ability to execute effectively.

Prior to his current role, Einhaus served as the Chief Data Officer at the Farmers Insurance Group, a subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Group. In this capacity, he led the Enterprise Data Organization, overseeing crucial areas including data strategy and transformation, data governance, data management, data science, business intelligence, and data analytics.

In a previous role, Einhaus held the position of Head of the Office of the CIO (OCIO), where he led a diverse global team across various responsibilities, including Innovation and Experience Lab (iLab & xLab), Strategic Initiatives, Competitive Research and Benchmarking, Enterprise IT Program Management Office, Enterprise Architecture, Supplier Management, Quality Assurance Center of Excellence, and Corporate Services IT.

His contributions as the Executive Sponsor for various initiatives are notable. These initiatives include the pursuit of a "cloud smart" strategy aimed at harnessing the power of data in the cloud, modernizing pricing and segmentation efforts, and sponsoring the AI Council for the Enterprise. Additionally, he successfully led a three-year Efficiency Initiative that exceeded savings targets. As part of this initiative, he introduced a Grassroots Campaign, involving employees in the conceptualization and realization of efficiency actions, which collectively contributed to approximately 30% of identified savings.

Einhaus attributes his global career and prior military service in the Austrian Armed Forces as the foundation for his approach to strategy, operations, and technology, marked by a calm, pragmatic, thoughtful, and innovative outlook.
