(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Lalit Thakur to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Thakur is Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Nissan Motor Corporation. With over 15 years of experience in the data space, he has worked across various domains, including manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, distribution, and supply chain.

Thakur leads the complete data lifecycle, spanning data management, analytics, data science, and monetization. He has spearheaded data strategy initiatives, established data standards, and driven the migration of data platforms to modern frameworks.

Passionate about the intersection of business strategy, technology, and data, Thakur thrives on leveraging data to create value. Prior to joining Nissan, he served as SVP and Chief Data Officer at American Tire Distributors (ATD), where he led data and analytics initiatives. Before ATD, he was VP of Analytics at Novant Health and, earlier, held a global role as VP and Chief of Data at Solera. In these positions, he built digital backbones for organizations and led strategies to monetize globally disparate data.

Thakur has mentored in several hackathons to deliver data-driven mobile apps and operational savings. Lalit has been on several panels and presented on a variety of data-related topics. He was honored in CDO Magazine 100 Data Leaders The Leading Influencers North America List 2024.
