Karthikeyan Ilangovan, MODE Global VP of Data Analytics and AI/ML
We are pleased to announce Karthikeyan Ilangovan as the newest member of CDO Magazine’s Global Board. Ilangovan serves as Vice President of Data Analytics and AI/ML at MODE Global, a leading third-party logistics (3PL) company and one of the largest truckload freight brokerages in North America. In this role, he spearheads enterprise-wide data transformation initiatives, redefining data infrastructure and delivering strategic insights that optimize operational performance.
By embedding intelligence throughout all levels of decision-making, Ilangovan bridges cross-functional teams across finance, operations, sales, and customer experience to build scalable, high-impact capabilities. He leads innovation across multiple disciplines, including Data Engineering, Analytics Insights, DevOps, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.
Prior to joining MODE Global, Ilangovan held key leadership positions at premier organizations including Neiman Marcus and JPMorgan Chase. Throughout his career, he has specialized in building modern data and analytics platforms, leading cloud transformation initiatives, and scaling data innovation across large global enterprises.
Ilangovan champions the advancement of organizational data and AI maturity, helping businesses unlock the full potential of their assets while actively mentoring the next generation of professionals. A committed contributor to the broader community, he serves on the Data and AI Advisory Boards for Southern Methodist University (SMU) and the University of Wisconsin’s Computer Science Program. He is also a strong advocate for STEM education, focused on inspiring future talent in technology.
