Kalpana Yendluri, Great Lakes Water Authority IT Director, Emerging Technology

(US and Canada) The Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) has appointed Kalpana Yendluri as its new IT Director, Emerging Technology. Yendluri is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and introducing innovative technologies to support GLWA’s operational transformation, agility, and enhanced employee experience. Her work will focus on leveraging cutting-edge tools — including artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital twins, virtual and augmented reality, and IoT — with data serving as the foundation for these strategic initiatives.

Yendluri brings more than 30 years of IT leadership experience and a strong track record of aligning technology strategy with business goals. Prior to joining GLWA, she advised executive leadership at large financial institutions and leading data marketing organizations, delivering operational excellence through transparency, collaboration, and a strong focus on risk and regulatory compliance.

Known for her analytical mindset and problem-solving approach, Yendluri is a trusted leader with C-suite presence and deep consulting experience. She is committed to delivering consistent, high-quality service to stakeholders and driving technology change in dynamic and evolving environments.

Beyond her professional achievements, Yendluri serves on the Board of Visitors and is a 2025 Hall of Fame inductee at Wayne State University College of Engineering. She holds a position on the CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board, recognizing her contributions to the field of data, and has been named a Global Data Power Woman by CDO Magazine in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

A World50 Next Leader graduate, Yendluri also provides thought leadership to various technology and non-profit organizations and is passionate about developing young talent, dedicating her time to mentoring and coaching. She is an active member of several technology communities, including SIM Detroit, T200, and the Michigan Council for Women in Technology (MCWT).
