Zachery Anderson , J.P. Morgan Payments Chief Data and Analytics Officer
JPMorganChase has named Zachery Anderson as Chief Data & Analytics Officer for J.P. Morgan Payments, which provides end-to-end payment solutions for businesses, financial institutions, and governments globally.
Anderson is accountable for the payments data and AI agenda across J.P. Morgan Payments, supporting a global-scale financial institution that processes approximately $12 trillion in payments daily. He will focus on advancing data, analytics, and AI capabilities to maintain high standards of reliability while enabling innovation across the payments ecosystem.
In a LinkedIn post, Anderson wrote, “The scale here is hard to wrap your head around: we are moving $12 trillion a day. That’s roughly the world’s GDP flowing through these pipes every few weeks. But what really draws me in isn’t just the volume — it’s the precision. Operating at 99.9999% reliability is the standard here. To me, that is the ultimate data challenge: how do we maintain that ‘space flight’ level of trust while pushing the edge of the possible with AI and analytics?”
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Payments, Anderson served as Senior Vice President and Chief Data & Analytics Officer at NatWest Group, where he also led open banking, personalization, and AI initiatives. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at Electronic Arts, including roles as Senior Vice President and Chief Analytics Officer and Vice President of Global Analytics and Insights.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, Anderson serves as a Non-Executive Director at Smart Data Foundry and as a Faculty Member at Wharton Executive Education, where he focuses on executive leadership and data-driven strategy.
