JPMorganChase Appoints Peggy Tsai as Product Director

(US and Canada) JPMorganChase has appointed Peggy Tsai as Product Director, bringing on board one of the most respected voices in data governance and AI policy. Tsai announced the new role in a recent LinkedIn post, stating, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Product Director at JPMorganChase!”

Tsai joins JPMorganChase following a distinguished tenure at BigID, where she served as Chief Data Officer leading business product strategy for data governance and playing a critical role in business development and client engagement. Her career spans nearly two decades across major financial institutions including Morgan Stanley, AIG, and S&P Global Ratings.

Her previous roles include Vice President, Analytics and Data at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, where she helped operationalize data governance frameworks and led large-scale strategy initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at AIG, focusing on data life-cycle management and regulatory compliance for global data programs.
In addition to her industry roles, Tsai has contributed extensively to the broader data community. She serves as an executive coach at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College Chief Data Officer program and as an adjunct faculty member at both Carnegie Mellon and the University of Denver, where she teaches AI Ethics, Policy, and Governance. She holds a position on the CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board, showcasing her contributions to the field of data.
Tsai is also a recognized speaker and thought leader, having been featured at top industry events including Gartner Data & Analytics, MIT CDOIQ Symposium, and Big Data London. She is a contributing author of The AI Book and a frequent voice in publications such as CDO Magazine, Business of Data, and the New York Business Journal.
A graduate of Cornell University with a Master of Science from New York University, Tsai continues to champion diversity in technology and leadership through roles with Women in Data, the EDM Council’s Women Data Professionals Forum, and WLDA (Women Leaders in Data and AI).
