Ivo Djoubrailov Returns to US Department of Housing and Urban Development as CDO

Ivo Djoubrailov, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Chief Data Officer

(US and Canada) Ivo Djoubrailov has returned as Chief Data Officer to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This marks Djoubrailov’s second time in the role, having previously served briefly as Chief Data Officer from December 2020 to January 2021. He will lead the development and implementation of HUD’s data strategy and governance framework, with a focus on maximizing the value of data in support of the agency’s mission.

“Thrilled to share that I’m returning to the role of Chief Data Officer at HUD!” Djoubrailov wrote on LinkedIn. “I’ll be leading data strategy and value creation across the Department, and supporting HUD’s new CIO, Eric Sidle, as he leads HUD through its next wave of digital transformation.”

Previously, Djoubrailov served as HUD’s Chief Digital Services Officer and held the role of Deputy Chief Technology Officer. His earlier career includes time at Perun Business Group, where he specialized in enterprise IT and analytics, and at MicroStrategy, where he provided expertise in areas such as data modeling, stress testing, and cluster optimization.

Djoubrailov holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in Applied Analytics from Columbia University.
