French biopharmaceutical company Ipsen has appointed Vitaly Doban as Senior Vice President, Global Medical and R&D Digital, Data, Analytics & AI. In this newly created role, Doban leads a multidisciplinary organization that integrates digital, data, analytics, and AI capabilities across Ipsen’s research and development and medical operations.

The team is tasked with transforming how scientific, clinical, and real-world data are generated and used to drive drug discovery, accelerate development, and deliver differentiated evidence that improves patient outcomes.

Doban joined Ipsen in 2021 as VP, Head of Data, Insights & AI (Medical), where he built a global organization responsible for evidence generation strategy and execution. Prior to Ipsen, he served as Executive Director, Head of Applied and Advanced Analytics (RWE, Medical) at Novartis, leading a global team of analysts and data scientists to deliver business-critical insights supporting medical and development decisions. Earlier in his career, Doban spent over a decade at Pfizer, where he held several leadership positions, including Senior Director, Head of Data and Analytics (RWD/RWE) and Director, Digital CoE Lead.
