IBA Expands Dr Stuart Hatcher’s Role to Include Chief Data Officer

Dr. Stuart Hatcher, IBA Chief Data Officer

Leading aviation intelligence and advisory firm IBA has expanded Dr. Stuart Hatcher’s responsibilities by naming him Chief Data Officer (CDO) in addition to his existing role as Chief Economist.

Hatcher brings more than 25 years of experience in science, aviation intelligence, and executive leadership. Since joining IBA, he has overseen teams in consultancy, data, and technology, led the development of the company’s digital products, and served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer.

In his new role, Hatcher will leverage IBA’s data resources to deliver actionable insights for the global aviation community. He will work closely with Sales, Data, and Advisory teams to enhance data coverage, analytical rigor, and the quality of intelligence provided to clients, while also refining data processes, supporting product innovation, and applying industry expertise to improve market insights. He will continue to strengthen IBA’s industry relationships, participate in key aviation events, and serve as a Senior ISTAT Certified Appraiser.

Alongside his responsibilities as CDO, Hatcher will continue to serve as IBA’s subject matter expert on commercial aviation and economics, with a focus on OEMs, leasing, finance, and trading.
