(US and Canada) Leading health insurer Humana has appointed Brett Hudspeth as Vice President, Segment CIO for Medicare & Medicaid. With over 15 years of experience in technology leadership, Hudspeth brings a strong background in driving innovation, delivering business value, and leading transformation initiatives across organizations of various sizes, from startups to Fortune 100 companies.

In this role, Hudspeth will partner with Humana’s Medicare & Medicaid teams to support their technology needs, leading teams that deliver capabilities across actuarial and plan design, product build, consumer payments, and claims processing. He is responsible for ensuring the reliability of technology systems that power Humana’s operations, overseeing a broad IT landscape that spans from legacy systems to modern SaaS and cloud-based platforms.

Before stepping into this position, Hudspeth served as Vice President, Clinical & Interoperability Segment CIO at Humana, where he played a key role in enabling clinical and interoperability technologies. His previous experience includes leadership positions in technology strategy, cloud technology and SaaS implementations, engineering management, and the integration of technology in mergers and acquisitions.
