Tanith Howard, HSBC Promotes Global Head of Data Risk
HSBC has promoted Tanith Howard to Global Head of Data Risk on a permanent basis, following a period serving in the role in an interim capacity.
In this role, Howard leads efforts to strengthen the organization’s data risk framework, with a focus on evolving capabilities in areas such as artificial intelligence, data governance, and regulatory compliance. She works across the business to advance a data risk approach that supports innovation while maintaining trust, transparency, and resilience.
“I’m incredibly grateful to work with such knowledgeable and committed colleagues across the business, and I’m excited to continue building a data risk capability that supports innovation while maintaining strong foundations of trust, transparency and resilience,” Howard shared in a LinkedIn post.
Howard has been with HSBC for over eight years. Most recently, she served as Data Risk Senior Manager and Global Resilience Risk Specialist, a role she has held since February 2022. Prior to that, she was Data Governance Manager from 2019 to 2022 and earlier served as a Contact Management Subject Matter Expert.
Before joining HSBC, Howard held the role of Senior Dialler Analyst at M&S Bank.
