Greg Barbaccia, Federal CIO
(US and Canada) Greg Barbaccia has been appointed as the Federal Chief Information Officer under the new Trump administration. Barbaccia announced his appointment in a recent LinkedIn post.
Barbaccia brings over 15 years of experience in the finance, government, and defense technology sectors. He most recently served as Chief Information Security Officer at Theorem, a financial services company that utilizes machine learning and data science for risk management. In this role, he developed strategies to protect sensitive financial data, address cyber vulnerabilities, and ensure regulatory compliance.
He also served as President at Elementus, a blockchain search engine provider working with U.S. government agencies, and spent 10 years at Palantir in leadership positions, culminating in head of intelligence and investigations. Earlier, Barbaccia worked as an intelligence analyst and intelligence sergeant in the U.S. Army.
