GBM, a leading investment services firm, has named Dr. Alejandro Correa Bahnsen as its new Vice President of Data and AI. Bahnsen will lead the company’s data and artificial intelligence strategy, supporting its goal of creating a more intelligent, personalized, and accessible investment experience.

Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Bahnsen shared, “I just started a new chapter as VP of Data & AI at GBM. AI is the most transformative technology of our time, and we’re harnessing it to rethink how we engage with clients—enhancing decision-making with data, personalizing at scale, and unlocking entirely new levels of efficiency and insight.”

Prior to joining GBM, Bahnsen served as Senior Global Director of Analytics and Artificial Intelligence at AB InBev. He also held executive roles at RappiBank, where he was Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, leading AI and risk teams in developing machine learning algorithms for credit risk, fraud detection, user identification, and customer retention.

Currently, he is also a professor at EGADE Business School and a member of the Board of Trustees Technology & Communications Committee at The American School Foundation. Bahnsen’s appointment reinforces GBM’s commitment to embedding AI throughout its operations as it builds what he describes as “the investment platform of the future.”
