Edwards Lifesciences has tapped Parminder Bhatia as Senior Vice President, AI. In the role, Bhatia leads the company’s enterprise AI strategy and transformation agenda, with responsibility for advancing AI adoption across the organization to accelerate innovation, improve patient outcomes, and drive sustainable competitive advantage.

Before joining Edwards Lifesciences, Bhatia served as Chief AI Officer at GE HealthCare, where he led the company’s enterprise AI organization focused on foundational models and generative AI. 

Earlier, he held several AI leadership roles at Amazon, including Head of Applied Science – Generative AI, where he led science initiatives for Amazon CodeWhisperer and Bedrock. 

His career also includes positions at Yik Yak, Microsoft, Edifecs, and Georgia Institute of Technology. Bhatia was recognized in Modern Healthcare’s 40 Under 40 and CDO Magazine’s 40 Under 40 Data Leaders 2025.

Bhatia holds a Master of Science in Computational Science and Engineering with a specialization in Machine Learning from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
