Edward Jones has appointed Ryan Swann Chief Data Officer (CDO). Swann steps into the role following more than five years at Vanguard, where he served as Chief Data Analytics Officer and Principal.

At Vanguard, Swann oversaw the strategic use of data and analytics across the firm, including the data lifecycle, AI, machine learning, and data science.

Previously, Swann served as Chief Data Officer at Collibra and E*TRADE Financial. At E*TRADE, he developed and implemented an enterprise data strategy. Earlier, he served as Chief Data Officer and Director of Data Analytics at the Office of Government-Wide Policy, and he held data leadership roles at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
