Dustin Goetz Appointed, ICE Acting CIO
Dustin Goetz has been appointed Acting Chief Information Officer (CIO) at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to his LinkedIn announcement. He will lead the Office of the CIO, responsible for delivering essential IT systems and services that support both ICE operations and the broader mission of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Goetz brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, and federal program management. Before stepping into this role, he served as Executive Director of IT Operations at DHS, following earlier leadership positions as Deputy Executive Director for Headquarters Operations and Division Chief for Enterprise Operations.
Earlier, Goetz was Director of the Operational Support Project Branch at U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He also held senior roles in the private sector, including at STI Technologies, Telesis, and Endevor Systems.
He began his career in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologic Technician Operator before moving into government IT services and program management. His expertise spans IT security, certification and accreditation, strategic planning, and high-risk program recovery. Goetz holds a Bachelor of Science in E-Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
