Don Fleschut, Ryerson VP - Chief Data Officer, Joins CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board

He is a business solution-focused analytics leader with a notable track record of delivering financial results across various supply-chain functional areas and information systems such as ERP, DW, CRM, and BI.

In his current role, Fleschut holds responsibility for creating and executing the analytics roadmap crucial for achieving key business objectives aligned with corporate strategy. Under his leadership, Fleschut established and led the Data Engineering, Analytics, and Sales Enablement teams, fostering innovation and operational efficiency. His notable accomplishments include the development of the GenAI/ML application, streamlining the quoting process by automating product data extraction and quotation document creation.

Additionally, Fleschut spearheaded the creation of a supply-chain partner inventory visibility site and a single enterprise data warehouse encompassing critical data domains across core ERP and acquired companies. He oversaw the migration to Azure/Synapse cloud for the Power BI environment, facilitating data democratization for business power users. Moreover, Don established a comprehensive Data Governance program encompassing compliance and quality aspects, further enhancing Ryerson's data management capabilities.
