Kasper Tjørntved Davidsen, Danske Bank Chief AI Officer

(EMEA) Danske Bank has named Kasper Tjørntved Davidsen as its new Chief AI Officer and Head of Generative AI, reinforcing the bank’s focus on accelerating the use of AI across its operations.

Davidsen brings significant experience in leading digital transformation within the financial sector. Prior to joining Danske Bank, he served as CIO and Executive Vice President at Topdanmark, where he helped introduce the first GenAI solution with direct customer interaction in Denmark’s financial industry. He also held the role of Group CTO at Nets, where he oversaw large-scale IT integrations following extensive merger and acquisition activity across Europe.

His appointment supports Danske Bank’s broader Forward ‘28 strategy and its commitment to becoming an AI-first bank by investing in cloud technology, data infrastructure, and advanced AI capabilities.

Reflecting on his new role, Davidsen stated: “Danske Bank has already made impressive strides with Generative AI, not just in technology, but in adoption and real-world application. I’m excited to build on this momentum and help shape the next phase of innovation — one that delivers meaningful value for customers, employees, and the business.”
