Drew Smith, ChristianaCare Chief Data & AI Officer
ChristianaCare has named Drew Smith Chief Data & AI Officer, bringing the healthcare organization an experienced data and analytics leader with a background spanning healthcare, retail, and analytics consulting.
Smith joins ChristianaCare from OhioHealth, where he most recently served as Chief Data and Analytics Officer. In that role, he focused on the repeatable and scalable delivery of analytics products and AI capabilities, with work supporting patient outcomes, provider engagement, community health, and financial sustainability.
Before OhioHealth, Smith was Vice President of Global Data and Analytics at Little Caesars Pizza, where he led the vision, strategy, and execution for enterprise data across Little Caesar Enterprises and Ilitch Companies. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Analytics Leadership at the International Institute for Analytics, leading the Analytics Leadership Consortium and working with CDOs, VPs, and directors from Fortune 500 companies across several sectors.
Earlier in his career, Smith spent 17 years at IKEA, holding several leadership positions across the organization. His roles included CDAO at IKEA Global Retail Headquarters, where he led the implementation of data analytics and data governance strategy, as well as Senior Vice President and P&L Owner for IKEA of Sweden, and Vice President of Business Intelligence & Analytics. He also serves on the CDO Magazine Global Board, contributing to the broader data and analytics community.
