Chris Kraft Assumes CIO and CAIO Roles at US Secret Service

Chris Kraft, U.S. Secret Service Chief Information Officer and Chief AI Officer

The U.S. Secret Service has named Chris Kraft as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief AI Officer (CAIO). Kraft shared the announcement on LinkedIn, following his service as Acting CIO since July 2025.

Before joining the U.S. Secret Service, his career included senior positions across federal agencies and the private sector. At the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), he served as Assistant Administrator for Financial Systems and Program Manager for Financial Systems Modernization. He also worked at the Department of Homeland Security as Deputy Program Manager for Financial Systems Modernization, and held roles at the Department of the Interior and the Department of Justice overseeing financial systems and modernization initiatives.

His private-sector experience includes leadership positions at K12 and SiriusXM, as well as consulting roles at BearingPoint, Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Across his career, he has focused on enterprise resource planning, technology modernization, and operational innovation.
