Charles Holive, BNP Paribas Chief AI Officer
Charles Holive has joined BNP Paribas, a leading European bank with a presence in 64 countries, as Chief AI Officer for its Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division. Holive will define and execute CIB’s global AI strategy, drive adoption of AI solutions across all business lines, and strengthen the division’s AI culture through learning and training initiatives, according to a post he shared on LinkedIn.
Holive comes to BNP Paribas from PepsiCo, where he served as Senior Vice President of AI Solutions & Platforms, leading the company’s agentic AI-first strategy across more than 200 countries and partnering with Microsoft, AWS, NVIDIA, Salesforce, SAP, OpenAI, and Anthropic. He has also held senior leadership positions at JPMorgan Chase, GE Healthcare, and Sisense, focusing on AI, analytics, and data monetization at enterprise scale.
He has been recognized for his pioneering work in AI and enterprise transformation, including building large-scale autonomous AI systems, shaping Fortune 50–level AI strategies, and driving measurable business impact across finance, healthcare, and consumer industries.
On his new role, Holive said that “in today’s financial sector, technology is a key foundation for operating at the scale, speed, and quality our clients expect. My focus will be on harnessing AI as a sustainable engine of value creation, developing trustworthy solutions, and contributing to further advancing CIB’s AI culture and proficiency.”
