Lisa Heckler, CareSource SVP Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Technology Services
(US and Canada) CareSource, a nonprofit managed care organization serving Medicaid and Medicare members across the U.S., has appointed Lisa Heckler as Senior Vice President of Cybersecurity (CISO), Privacy, and Technology Services. Heckler, a seasoned information security leader, has been with CareSource for over a decade and previously served as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Since joining CareSource in 2014 as Director and Chief Information Security Officer, Heckler has played a key role in shaping the company’s information security, privacy, and business continuity strategies. She was promoted to Vice President and CISO in 2016, where she continued to lead cybersecurity initiatives and oversee risk management.
With extensive experience in information security governance, Heckler has built and maintained security programs aligned with industry standards such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, and regulatory requirements including HIPAA/HITECH, PCI, and SOX. She holds the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) credential and has expertise in developing security strategies, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
Before joining CareSource, Heckler held leadership positions at LexisNexis and RELX Group, where she managed information security and architecture for cloud services and technology solutions.
In her new role as SVP, Heckler will oversee cybersecurity, privacy, and IT infrastructure and operations, continuing to support CareSource’s commitment to security and compliance.
