Beth Hiatt, LPL Financial SVP, Product Management, Data Governance & Responsible AI

We are pleased to announce Elizabeth (Beth) Hiatt as the newest member of CDO Magazine’s Global Board. Hiatt has close to 30 years of experience building and deploying enterprise-wide data management & governance programs. 

Hiatt has held various data management and governance roles across business and technology within the Financial Services, Telecommunications, and Hospitality industries. She is currently driving the data governance and responsible AI practices at LPL Financial.

In this role, she is responsible for managing the firm’s data governance capabilities as well as ensuring that its AI practices are aligned with the basic tenets of responsible and ethical AI.

Prior to her role at LPL, Hiatt was the Head of Global Data Governance for PayPal, where she was responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the global data governance function for the company.

Hiatt has implemented enterprise data management programs from end-to-end, developing and enabling critical functions such as, data governance, data quality, master and metadata programs. She has deep technical expertise in enterprise data architecture, helping organizations “connect the dots” across the data lifecycle.

A results-driven leader, Hiatt brings deep experience managing large, complex organizations specifically focusing on growing a company’s data management maturity while changing the organization’s data culture.

Hiatt has previously written articles, including “The Digital Data Steward Series” in CDO Magazine 2025, and “Time to Level Up: The Evolving Role of the Chief Data Officer” published by TDWI. She has spoken at many conferences, including the CDO Magazine Global Data Leadership Summit in 2025, the Women Data Leaders Global Summit in 2021, and was on CDO Magazine’s 40 Most Influential Data Leaders in Finance – North America 2026 and the Global Data Power Women List in 2022.
