Associated Banc-Corp has named Alexander Bush as Executive Vice President and Chief Data Officer. He will report to Terry Williams, executive vice president and chief information officer. “Data is a key strategic asset for the bank,” said Williams. “The chief data officer position plays a vital role in enhancing decision-making, driving operational efficiency, and maximizing the value of our data ecosystem.”

In his new role, Bush will oversee enterprise-wide data strategy and governance, ensuring that data is reliable, consistent, and leveraged effectively across the organization. His responsibilities span multiple business units and functions, building a robust data foundation that supports operations, compliance, risk management, and large-scale analytics initiatives.

Bush brings over 20 years of experience in financial services. He most recently served as senior vice president and director of financial information at Huntington National Bank, where he led multi-year strategic initiatives for financial data and systems, advanced enterprise data governance, and implemented innovative approaches to automation and analytics. His work helped ensure trusted data, enable predictive analytics, and simplify regulatory compliance in complex environments.
