(US and Canada) Aspen Insurance Group, a global provider of specialty insurance and reinsurance solutions, has announced the appointment of Tony Bishop as Chief Data and Analytics Officer. Bishop brings extensive expertise in data strategy and business intelligence, having built a career focused on data engineering and architecture.

His background equips him to design and implement enterprise-level data platforms, governance frameworks, and educational programs within the insurance industry, ensuring companies fully leverage their data resources.

In his expanded role, Bishop will report to Rob Houghton, Aspen Group Chief Operating Officer, and will now oversee Aspen's newly launched Data Labs and Architecture, in addition to his existing responsibilities for the company's Data and Analytics strategy as part of Aspen's ongoing digital transformation efforts.

Bishop joined Aspen in 2022 as Head of Data and Analytics. Since then, he has led significant advancements in Aspen's data and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives, including a pioneering partnership with Microsoft to pilot Purview and the establishment of Aspen Data Labs.
