(APAC) Indian retail broking platform Angel One has named Rohit Chatter as its Chief Data Officer (CDO). With nearly 30 years of experience in AI, data science, analytics, application development, and platform engineering, Chatter will play a key role in accelerating Angel One’s data-driven transformation, reinforcing its digital-first approach, and improving the overall investing experience.

Before joining Angel One, Rohit served as Chief Software Architect at Walmart Global Tech, where he led technology strategy, data science, and analytics for U.S. e-commerce and retail operations. He was instrumental in scaling Generative AI applications across the organization.

Previously, as CTO of InMobi Marketing Cloud, he oversaw global data science and platform engineering teams, driving cloud-based AdTech innovations. Under his leadership, the remarketing platform expanded into a high-margin business across key markets. His expertise in big data and automation contributed to multimillion-dollar growth.

At Yahoo India, he worked as Senior Architect, leading initiatives in Sponsored Search Analytics, Audience Analytics, Big Data (Hadoop), and Web Analytics platforms. His career also includes leadership roles in the U.S., such as Senior Manager at Talisma, Manager at IPSoft, and Tech Lead at TiVo and Alcatel.

Chatter brings deep expertise in large-scale Oracle databases, Unix (Sun Sparc, Linux), Microsoft technologies, and programming languages such as Perl, Python, and Java. He holds a BE in Electronics & Telecom and an MBA in General Management from NMIMS.
