Shetty is an award-winning Data, Analytics, and Technology Executive with comprehensive experience as a CDO, CIO, CDAO, and CTO within prominent multinational organizations. He currently serves Equifax as Chief Data Officer leading all aspects of the data strategy and execution for the company’s U.S. Information Solutions (USIS) organization, supporting $2 billion+ in annual revenue.

As CDO, Shetty is responsible for optimizing investments in key data assets, maximizing value for customers, and driving excellence in data management and governance. Managing a team of 60 employees and contractors and an annual budget of $10 million, he is building a cohesive data strategy across multiple business lines, implementing a new data quality framework, and instilling a metrics-driven focus and a product-thinking mindset to elevate Equifax as a market leader.

Previously, Shetty served as Equifax’s Head of Enterprise Data Security, supporting a global team of 800+ data and analytics professionals in the development and execution of a cohesive Global Data Strategy and developing the company’s first Data KPIs, supporting $5 billion in annual revenue. Additionally, he assisted the Global Data Council in creating company-wide data standards, led the integration of data assets from M&A actions, and evangelized the enterprise data strategy to seamlessly embed it into the company’s culture.

Before Equifax, Shetty worked as VP, Chief Data Officer & Energy Chief Information Officer at Pilot Company, the largest operator of travel centers in North America with 800+ locations and $20B plus in revenue. In this role, he led the modernization of Pilot’s complete IT infrastructure, with a team of 260 and an annual budget of $100 million. Over three years, he established a new Data Science/Engineering function that delivered $500 million+ in incremental growth, developed ML-based price optimization modeling that drove $300 million in YoY growth, and leveraged RPA to reduce business unit costs by an average of 30%.

Before Pilot, Shetty served as Vice President, Chief Data and Analytics Officer for McDonald’s Corporation, where he built the company’s Data and Analytics function from the ground up. Over two years, he leveraged AI/ML techniques to drive 1% to 3% revenue in top international markets, delivered analytics-based client insights that achieved a 5:1 ROI, and headed a global BI consolidation initiative that reduced annual costs by 18%. 

From 2005 to 2019, Shetty worked in a range of ascending executive leadership roles with SunTrust Bank, culminating as Executive Vice President / Chief Data and Analytics Officer, where he transformed the Data & Analytics organization, drove growth of $2.8 billion in annual revenue, and achieved uninterrupted QTQ growth for five consecutive years. He has earned numerous awards, including recognition as an ORBIE CIO of the Year Finalist (2023), Global Top 100 Innovator in Data & Analytics by Corinium Global Intelligence (2020), and Oracle’s Big Data Leader of the Year (2016).

Shetty currently serves on the Alumni Boards for the University of Georgia and Terry College of Business, the Advisory Board at Sapience, and the Advisory Council for Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. Outside of his professional life, he is an avid runner, loves golf and tennis, and is a die-hard University of Georgia football fan.
