Investment management firm Hudson Bay Capital Management has appointed Alex Golbin, CFA as Managing Director and Chief Data Officer. The career update was shared by Golbin in a LinkedIn post.

Prior to his latest role, Golbin was Chief Data Officer at Morningstar, where he was responsible for building, deploying, and operating the Enterprise Data Platform to enable seamless and easy data flow from producers to consumers across all business units.

Before Morningstar, Golbin was Managing Director and Global Head of Data Services at BlackRock. He has also held senior-level roles in organizations like Banc of America Securities and Lehman Brothers in the past.

Golbin is a member of CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. He holds an MS degree in Computer Science from Hofstra University in New York.
