AIG has expanded Jim Young’s role, adding Head of Agentic AI Solutions to his existing position as Global Chief Data Officer, broadening his responsibilities to include enterprise AI strategy alongside his data and analytics leadership for the General Insurance business.

In this expanded capacity, he will lead AIG’s data and analytics function for its General Insurance business, with additional responsibility for AI strategy, implementation, and digital transformation across underwriting and claims.

Young leads the architecture, development, and maintenance of AIG’s data and analytics capabilities for General Insurance. His responsibilities also include AI strategy and governance, as well as improving customer, agent, and employee experience, operational efficiency, and product and service innovation.

He also established AIG’s AI governance framework and chairs the company’s Data Governance Council of C-level executives, setting enterprise-wide standards and priorities for data and analytics.

Prior to joining AIG, Young spent more than a decade at Travelers, where he held senior data and analytics leadership roles, including SVP, Information Management & Analytics for the Business Insurance and International Division. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Allstate, United Devices, and EY.
