Shameek Kundu, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Chief AI Officer
UAE-based Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has appointed Shameek Kundu as Chief AI Officer to lead the bank’s AI and data agenda.
Kundu brings extensive global experience in data, analytics, and technology leadership, most recently serving as Executive Director of AI Verify at the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore. In that role, he led the creation of an AI testing ecosystem through the AI Verify Foundation, focusing on real-world validation of AI systems.
Prior to IMDA, Kundu held senior leadership positions at Truera — where he served as Head of Financial Services and Chief Strategy Officer — and at Standard Chartered Bank, where he spent over 11 years, including as Group Chief Data Officer. His earlier career includes consulting experience at McKinsey & Company.
“There’s a lot to learn, adjust, adapt. I am excited, but also slightly nervous. Looking forward to working with my new colleagues at ADCB,” Kundu shared on LinkedIn.
