(US and Canada) Stamford, Connecticut headquartered commercial bank Webster has promoted Vishal Patel as the Chief Data Analytics Officer – Executive Managing Director. In his current role as CDAO, Patel oversees various aspects of data management such as data governance, business intelligence, master and reference data management, data engineering, and data platform management for the bank. Along with these responsibilities, he will now also support business growth and risk management opportunities.

An experienced Chief Data Officer and Data Modernization professional, Patel has more than two decades of success leading all phases of diverse data modernization programs and technology projects in the financial services industry. Before joining Webster Bank, Patel held several senior leadership roles and developed data-management solutions at JP Morgan Chase & Co., General Electric Company, and AllianceBernstein L.P. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.

Patel is an advisory board member for MIT’s Center of Information Systems Research – Data Research Board Advisory and he also holds membership in the CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board.
