(US and Canada) The Department of Air Force (DAF) has appointed Eileen Vidrine as Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAO). She develops and implements strategies for enterprise data management, analytics, and digital transformation to optimize performance and drive innovation in and across all missions and operations.

Vidrine rejoins the Air Force after serving as the Senior Strategic Advisor for Data to the Federal Chief Information Officer, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) since January 2022. She assumes the CDAO role previously held by Major General John Olson, the first CDAO for the Department of the Air Force since its formation. Before her role at OMB, Vidrine served as Chief Data Officer for the Air Force.

“Please join us in welcoming back Eileen Vidrine as she returns to assume the position as the Department of the Air Force Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer,” states the Department of the Air Force Chief Data and AI Office in its Jan. 13 LinkedIn post. “It is a privilege to continue achieving our goals under Ms. Vidrine’s expertise and guidance.”
