(APAC) We are pleased to welcome Surabhi Jain to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Jain is Chief Data Officer at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). She is responsible for establishing and implementing data and governance strategies to ensure appropriate data frameworks, people, processes, and systems for the collection, management, storage, protection, sharing, and reporting of data. 

Jain is an experienced professional with over twenty years of experience across data, technology, and risk management with a record of delivering strategic initiatives, establishing effective data functions, and embedding these sustainably in the business. She has had a diverse career working in a range of different domains including media, telecommunications, and several large global financial institutions.

In terms of her career trajectory, Jain has held various senior data roles at HSBC in Sydney, London, and Hong Kong including that of Chief Data Officer. She is a recognized industry leader in data management and was named one of the Top 100 Global Data Power Women three years in a row from 2021 to 2023 by CDO Magazine. She is also an advisory member of the Enterprise Data Management Council, a global association advocating best practices for data management.
