(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Shravan Kotha to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Kotha is Chief Data and Analytics Officer, Information Technology Services, at the Office of Ohio Attorney General. He is responsible for data requests, discovery, governance, management, and business intelligence and analytics. He promotes values that include collaboration, innovation, striving for excellence, and promoting best practices across the data and analytics value chain.

Kotha previously worked as Chief Data and Analytics Consultant for First Interstate Bank, Montana. He worked with executive management as their trusted advisor to define data and analytics strategy, including evaluating people, processes, technology, data, and analytics. He is the former Vice President for Business Intelligence and Analytics at Fifth Third Bank, focusing on data and information architecture, business analysis and data modeling, and business intelligence and analytics. Kotha also was a data and analytics consultant for IBM. Before that, he held numerous positions, including Senior Vice President for Data and Analytics at KeyCorp.

A renowned data and analytics executive, Kotha was named “Analytics Laureate” by the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science for his Service Excellence and Management work at KeyCorp. He has also participated as a speaker at the MIT Symposium, Information Week Conference, Institute of Industrial Engineers, and Case Western Reserve University. Kotha has received several recognitions, including “Red Jacket for Quality” and “Command Performance” at KeyCorp.

Kotha received his master’s in Operations Research and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.  He also has a master’s in Industrial engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and participated in an accelerated graduate program in banking at Stonier School of Banking.
