(US and Canada) The Attorney General of Ohio (AGO) recently appointed Shravan Kotha to Chief Data and Analytics Officer following his work as a Chief Data and Analytics Consultant.
Kotha’s responsibilities include data requests, data discovery, data governance, data management, and business intelligence and analytics. He works on promoting values that include collaboration, innovation, strive for excellence and promote best practice across the data and analytics value chain.
Kotha previously worked for First Interstate Bank, Montana, as Chief Data and Analytics Consultant. He worked with executive management as their trusted advisor to define data and analytics strategy including evaluation of people, process, technology, data and analytics. He is the former Vice President for Business Intelligence and Analytics at Fifth Third Bank, focusing on data and information architecture, business analysis and data modeling, and business intelligence and analytics. Kotha also was a Data and Analytics Consultant for IBM. Before that, he held numerous positions including Senior Vice President for Data and Analytics at KeyCorp.
A renowned data and analytics executive, Kotha received “Analytics Laureate” from the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science for his Service Excellence and Management (SEMS) work at KeyCorp. SEMS was recognized by Harvard Business Library and the MIT Symposium, and was published in Interfaces Journal and The Journal of Bank Cost & Management Accounting. He has also participated as a speaker at the MIT Symposium, Information Week Conference, Institute of Industrial Engineers and Case Western Reserve University. Kotha has received several recognitions including “Red Jacket for Quality” and “Command Performance” at KeyCorp.
Kotha has a master’s degree in Operations Research and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He also has a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and participated in an accelerated graduate program in Banking at Stonier School of Banking.
