(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Michael C. Redmond, Ph.D., to CDO Magazine’s Global Security Board. Redmond is an experienced technology leader serving as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the City of Louisville, Kentucky. She assists the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in Information and Cyber Security.
With more than 18 years of experience in enterprise risk management and cybersecurity, Redmond has worked in both the public and private sectors. Redmond, a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, completed four years on active duty and 18 years in the National Guard and Reserves.
Redmond holds over 25 certifications, including ISO 27001, ISO 27005, and ISO 27032. She is certified in cybersecurity, business continuity, risk management, emergency management, and auditing. She has published three books — “Mastering Business Continuity Management,” “Mastering Your Introduction to Cyber Security,” and “Mastering Your Work-Life Balance” — and she speaks at many international conferences.
Redmond holds several degrees from some of the finest academic institutions. She has obtained a PhD in Psychoneurology, an MBA from Fordham University, as well as an MBA in Risk Management from PECB University. She is completing her thesis for an MBA in Information Security and will graduate in February 2023.
