(US and Canada) Claudiu Bulai, who led the engineering organization of renowned META-Facebook Reality Labs Research — the innovation organization enabling META’s Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) initiatives — has joined Quantarium as Chief Innovation Officer.

"Claudiu’s decision to lead Quantarium Visual Labs towards the next generation of product innovation is a tremendous win, not only for Quantarium but the RE Industry and its subsector spaces,” says Clement Ifrim, Quantarium CEO.

According to Ifrim, Bulai immediately recognized the link between his expertise and accomplishments, Quantarium’s patented technologies, and the ever-expanding opportunities within the industry to streamline, modernize, and enhance customer efficiency. He adds that delivering ML-based visual technology opportunities remains a core driver of Quantum’s mission. Bulai’s expertise and leadership are force multipliers for speed to market and innovation on that mission, Ifrim notes.

As Research Engineering Senior Director at META Reality Labs, Bulai scaled and led a large engineering organization. Reality Labs Research was charged with researching and moving forward with the various state-of-the-art AR/VR hardware/software technologies at META. The research team included doctors, scientists, electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineers, as well as software architects, TPMs, technical artists, and others across various research engineering domains.

In addition to his work at META-Facebook, Bulai also brings vast experience as a technologist and organizational leader, having managed the research, development and launch of numerous complex hardware/software products across various industries, from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

At Quantarium, Bulai will direct and grow a team of leading scientists and doctors to expand its AI and Visual technologies IP. His research will focus on innovative solutions for the increasing clarion demand for integrating Computer Vision (CV) capability across all valuation products and the industry’s limited integration of CV at scale and with fidelity. In addition, CV will be incorporated into the company’s industry-leading Automated Valuation Models (AVMs) and AI-based digital valuations.

“The fit between our capability and the industry need is why I am beyond excited to join the exceptionally talented Quantarium team,” Bulai says. “I look forward to contributing IP through state-of-the-art data science, computer vision,  and machine learning solutions as we innovate across real estate’s broad ecosystem of services.”
