(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Mamta Singh to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Singh is the Deputy Chief Data Officer at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Mamta is an established technology leader and data expert with a history of leveraging emerging technologies and data. She has 28-plus years of experience building end-to-end digital/data strategies, including data, data science, big data, data analytics, master data management, data-driven transformation, data governance, data strategy, data management, digital transformation, data governance, data quality, and data sourcing.

Mamta holds two graduate degrees and two undergraduate degrees. She completed her recent master’s in public administration (MPA) from Harvard Kennedy School (HKS). She holds an engineering degree. Her other graduate and undergraduate degrees are based on STEM competencies, allowing her to excel in the work of pure technology. She constantly worked with software, databases, and analytics, moving from a single contributor role to managing the team and department.

For the past 18 years, Mamta has served the Commonwealth of MA as Manager of Application Services and Database and as Business Digital Integration manager. In her roles, Mamta had the opportunity to impact the lives of approximately 40K individuals and families, including children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IID/DD), by managing their data, saving thousands of dollars for the department. Being a part of such an organization fulfills her intellect as an engineer and her humanity as a global citizen.

Mamta was awarded the Governor Robert F. Bradford Fellowship (2019-2020) from the Commonwealth of MA. Through a complex, competitive process, the Bradford Fellowship is awarded to global leaders who demonstrate a strong potential for continued achievement and leadership in public service.
