(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Lauren Maffeo to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. An award-winning analyst and designer with expertise in designing data-specific systems for the U.S. Federal Government, Maffeo is Civic Tech Service Designer at Steampunk. Her core projects include redesigning a database interface, PDF parsing as part of a website migration from PHP to Drupal, and building the first service model for an Assistant Chief Data Officer.

Maffeo is a former editor for Data & Policy, an open access journal on this intersection from Cambridge University Press, and teaches Interaction Design at the George Washington University. She has written for Harvard Data Science Review, The Financial Times, and The Guardian, amongst other publications. Her first book, Designing Data Governance from the Ground Up is being adapted into a LinkedIn Learning course.
